Awake Word and Prayer

When I was a child, I like many Christian families was taught to pray at meals mainly dinner when family gathered and also prayers at bedtime. Of course, I didn't know then that God knew your thoughts and heart, so I didn't know that. You tend to do as taught so my prayers always were at bed. Many people think it is a terrible thing to pray in bed but I was shown the scripture in Psalms about David and felt good about it. Psalm 63:6 (KJV) When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. I then had a peace not listening to others and their opinions. Was the Lord there at bedtime prayers? Yes, even Yeshua said where 2 or 3 gathered in my name there He is in the midst of them. A parent comes to listen to your prayers after you even have them memorized. Only God though can make you see when you find others that are against bed prayers. Again, being old things have totally flipped which is why the word Awake.

I was much older before I started praying early in the morning, I would just play my worship songs. Staying in the gospels as I was instructed by my dad, again it is the word happening even in the black text that can come to light for you. I was doing a study with word searching pray prayer prayed all that when I spotted this verse about Yeshua and His routine that got recorded. In Mark this word: Mark 1:35 (KJV) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Now I did pray during the day before this but usually for my husband while he was at work, I would ask the Lord to guide and direct him and give him God's wisdom. That simple. Cleaning I would even lay my hands on a chair of his and do that.  I never prayed for myself though nor did I ask for prayer. The verse when I did find it to me it was Yeshua praying for His day of ministry. For himself and the others he ministered to. He never asked for prayer for Himself from the disciples, I became the same way regarding asking others to pray for me.

Do others pray for me? Yes, same as children were taught, my family all do pray for me and I do all of them.  It was later I found out all souls are God's then I started praying for all souls.  I do these as led now as I talk to the Lord most of the day seeking His direction for my day.  I do this all mentally and from my heart and take God's words to Him for them.  He gives me words mentally too, I am usually quick to check scripture, sometimes I just know the verse He is speaking to me.  So as we grow in the Lord we are continually learning new things. For me and the scripture a day focus, keep you in the only words that save, and the only words that won't pass away.

I will speak more about prayer as I believe more are led and hear the Lord than you think, it is what you do when it happens as God gets no credit for it.
