Prayer and the word *If*

Are Humans Evil? What Does God Say In The Bible?

This post explores what the Bible clearly says about human evil, God’s sovereignty, and the limits of artificial intelligence in understanding divine truth. By examining direct words spoken by God and Jesus in Scripture, it highlights why believers should rely on God’s revealed Word rather than computer programs for spiritual discernment. The post walks through key verses from Genesis, Matthew, John, Jeremiah, and Isaiah to show that while humanity is described as evil, God’s ultimate desire is righteousness, peace, and redemption.

The answer is yes God did speak about it in the Bible. I asked AI this question and it doesn't give words out of the mouth of God, so I wonder if it only has the ability to use quotes from other people on the topic not what God said in the Bible. So maybe AI is not capable of knowing what words in the Bible are spoken by God. AI is not your God and isn't able to give just quotes about it from scripture, so we need to be careful.  Computer programs are not led of the Lord, people are.

So I did a search on the word "evil" in my computer Bible to see what all God had to say about us.  I will mention just a few.

Genesis 6:5 (KJV) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually

So God destroyed the humans off the face of the earth saving Noah and his family.  Yet even after that God mentions this verse regarding man.

Genesis 8:21 (KJV) And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

So I looked as I also knew Yeshua (Jesus) did say we humans were evil also with these.

Matthew 7:11 (KJV) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

John 8:44 (KJV) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I knew the Lord created evil even though he didn't desire evil in the garden of eden and it was man that ate of the tree they were forbidden to eat from.

So I pray the Lord will rain down righteousness on all people and grant us all the thoughts that God himself said He has for us for peace not for evil.  I ask His thoughts be done for us. Amen

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Isaiah 45:7-8 (KJV) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

Prayer and the word *If*

With the Bible software I have, I can check mark just words spoken by Jesus Christ, the words in red. The word "If" is used just in the book of Matthew 53 times and in the book of John 59 times. So spoken by Christ. For this post I am just going to focus on it where most pray and should they not get answer to prayer they simply don't know where to look or what to do. Christians today and for many years have focused on the Epistles of Paul and not on the Gospels of Messiah's words to us. Then wonder why prayer is not answered. One verse regarding this is John:

John 15:7 (KJV) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

So the first question would be "Do Jesus Christ's words abide in you?". With today's church the answer would be no. We need a good foundation of Jesus words in us. There are many "if" statements regarding the words of Jesus. I chose this particular one as people will get upset if prayer is not answered and never ask the Lord about it or seek the Lord thru the words of Jesus.

John 14:23 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

A Desire To Know Who The Betrothed Was Ho 2:19

 Running into the verse :

Hosea 2:19 (KJV) And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

I was curious as to who this might be.  So I listened and did read Hosea 1-3 yet back at the betrothed I was.  So I focused on that paragraph and what God had said: wondering how He could remove baal and baalim out of her mouth.

So I went to google translate, now the first time I did enter the words "baalim baali ishi " it came up sheep sheep sheep in the language of oromo which is in Africa.  Then my translator didn't work and brought up swahili which uses the word so I typed it there it said "the day of Baal".  I changed the words around using vs 16 and 17:

16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. 17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

I typed in "Ishi baali baalim" the meaning was "she is a shepherd" but I had to go find just that language translator so used http://www.onlinetranslationpro.com/oromo-to-english-translation then doing last word first it was sheep sheep sheep.

Today I did more searching, looking up the top different languages in Africa and tested them and all use the word Baal in them, except for oromo language.  I was shocked to find there were over 3000 languages thought to be in Africa, I only tested the first six or seven.

Listened to Matthew 5 today

After receiving my word for today, I listened then to Matthew 5for my hearing of the word of God. It is a good habbit to get into to listen to the word being read to you. I did post what first came to mind on the word scharpening site. After listening and reading the verse that stood out to me, of course to being an older woman was this:

Matthew 5:15 (KJV) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

"it giveth light to all that are in the house" stood out to me. Thinking of even within our homes, do you have out to be seen by any that enter into your house things of the word of God? Is your Bible out in the open. Just asking. I have a box of Jesus words only with cards of the scriptures of Christ only. Very hard to find... just one box is there with just the words of Christ.

This box is opened and at the dining room table next to my laptop opened with the words, so 4 cards can be viewed at a time as when I go to the next words, I discard the old ones for the day to the lid and leave them face up also. A gal who came into the house saw them and loved them and asked where I got them and how much they cost.  We talked a bit about them and she asked where I got them.  I told her amazon and they are the only ones I found that are just the words of Jesus.  Told her to do a search for "words of Jesus cards" .

I change them daily and have my daily verses for myself for the day.  I just love them, they are better than a horror scope is what I call it  haha.  Be fed a daily word to start your day.. They will bless you.  Leave them out on a table to be seen.. they do have an attention draw to them vs a Bible.. They will be blessed with a scripture or two and maybe start a conversation about the Lord.  I need to buy a second box for my living room, even my grandchildren who can read see's them.  The color red makes a read curiosity for children.  A witness then you can be for the Lord as Peter said:

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Psalm 60:4 (KJV) Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Answered prayer for rain

I had prayed for rain a couple days ago and it was nice to wake up and here there was the rain.  Just a gentle rain but enough to wet things.  I started my day as fairly normal with worship music and word searches I do write about on Word Sharpening website.  I do so many searches on my own with things also besides when I hear a word from the Lord.  I love the word of God.  With the tools available to every person who is online or has a cell phone you can have a Bible at your fingertips.

I had finished writing on the other 2 blogs so just wanted to here mention the praise for rain and answered prayer.  God is so good.

The Lord reminds me

This morning things were bit different for me. I was and did a lot of searching scriptures on my own. This often happens then I find I will also find a scripture response to someone at a forum I go to. So this morning I did then listen to scriptures 1 Peter 1 and then also Isaiah 65 from things seen on the forum.

It was not in these books or chapters that I used to make comment in return. I often hear a scripture response and will go find them to post on the forum which then I did in replying. I was reminded of another word I had the other day and will post it on Word Sharpening website

I thank Father and will write more about things on the Testimonies link on my menu.. I have one category labeled "Wonder - Awe" on my Testimonies link on the menu.

Telephone Telegraph or Tell A Woman at the Well

I listened to John 3 and John 4 today, I just love the woman at the well. She in fact was the first person Jesus told He was the Messiah. I find it interesting. Just as the first person that saw Jesus after His resurrection was to Mary not one of the disciples. Interesting some of the things pointed out of women in the gospels, it took me listening over and over to really spot more. The woman at the well let the people know and from there Messiah was asked to stay and it is the only place mentioned He stayed two days.

There was an old saying "Telephone telegraph or tell a woman".

The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob I will be for ever known as

I had jumped around quite a bit this morning but because of a scripture in Exodus I listen/read Exodus 3 and 4. I had posted that on desert my word this morning. In listening to this I heard something I had never heard before nor paid to much attention I guess but today it stood out to me:

Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

I was like wow I had never thought about that as most people just say the God of Abraham, and with this it seemed God was separating Israel with this. Abraham had many other sons and some sent to the East..

Of course this was when Moses got his calling, and there are many in the church that think there will be another Exodus. I am not sure about that one but makes you wonder if Israel (the church?) God's people could be in bondage? Said that to the Lord, will see if He says anything about it.

Prayer of Jesus for us

This morning I worshiped then waited on the Lord which was how my day started.. I recorded that at Word for Today. I was not led to a particular gospel chapter so went to my favorite one where Christ prayed for us in. John 17, I prefer having both the written and also listening to the word, I love the dramatized Bible audio John 17.

As I mentioned on my other site, I went to the forum and there was a response back and forth with different scriptures. One of the men responded  had a revelation an epiphany, plus the Lord kind of expanded it further to me. I was going to post it here but the Lord wants different so I will do a special page or post and link it to my things when done with it. The title on the forum was something I was hoping for more knowledgeable men to be writing but the great post happened today. I will put the link to it within what I will write here as I asked for a reason and got little response to me. The title was "FOLLOW ME! signed Jesus what does that mean to you?"

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

Received Sight

Well I had received my word from the Lord this morning and posted it at Word Sharpening Word for Today, I do need to update it as requested of the Lord later He did give me another word. So I will do that as that is why my choice to listen to the chapter this morning. So listening today to Matthew 20.

If you are new and just starting in the word follow it through each book. I have been walking via the word of Christ with the Bible since the 70's so I will listen often to a chapter of a book that I was given a word for from in the gospels. So this was how I was led of the Lord this morning. You might choose to do so many chapters in a row being new.. then later in the day just listen to a selected book/chapter. That is great but at least get through all the gospels in a row listening reading 1-3 chapters a day is my suggestion.

Of course listening, will cause me to pray and as at the end.. I pray you all ask the Lord to open your eyes.

Matthew 20:34 (KJV) So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

That was the last verse and became a prayer for myself and you all. This is what happens as you walk you see things respond by asking and prayer quick for things. These men asked and that is what we need to do.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

Worship - Where To Start

Many already have their praise and worship music they do listen to. There may be someone new that has never heard worship music except what is in the church. I love youtube as it has a variety of Christian music different artists and worship leaders. Often the Lord will even give me words that I will check youtube and see what is there with the words given as I did this morning with my time with the Lord when He will speak a word or a few to me on my other blog is where I put those. Word for Today

John 4:24 (KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

You may have a subject area you want to search and listen to a song, I always use the word Christian first on youtube and say might put the word praise. I will scroll the list and click on something. This is a way you get new songs too. There will be songs you love and songs you only listen to part of and move on. Every child of the Lord's is different, He knows what moves your heart and His heart.

Many times I will just love a certain song that morning and play it over and over. You find the song will be sung in your mind the choris line anyway most the day you have a song on your heart. It brings joy. Try it!!.

I will post one I just love and used it on top of my daily time with the Lord blog, I will post the song here too, a love for His word you do have happen to you. Praise the Lord and have a blessed day.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

Prayer-Where To Start

If you are wondering how to start a prayer life or feel unsure of what to say, looking at the life of Jesus provides the perfect roadmap. Many believers ask, 'Where do I start with prayer?' The answer lies in the daily habits Jesus modeled—finding a solitary place, starting the day in conversation with the Father, and giving thanks in all circumstances. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refresh your spiritual walk, establishing a daily prayer habit doesn't have to be complicated. By following the example of Christ, we can learn to turn our minds into a 'prayer closet' and find peace in God's presence from morning until night.

 What did Jesus do?

God is Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end). Once in scripture reading and hearing you will be led to do more, but for starters start your day with a prayer and the end of your day with prayer. We know the morning before His day he started with time with the Lord in prayer, but also for us it is a great time to listen to your chapter a day or whatever to start your day. I am a morning and all day person haha. I talk to Father in my mind during the day. My mind to me to the Lord is my "prayer closet" Matthew 6:6 (KJV) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

So his alarm was set for a great while before started His day.... Mark 1:35 (KJV) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

We know He finished His day with prayer.... Matthew 14:23 (KJV) And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

We know Jesus prayed at meals : Mark 6:41 (KJV) And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

We know Jesus Thanked Father out loud for things.....John 11:41 (KJV) Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. Matthew 11:25 (KJV) At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

What would I pray starting out?

I would start with short prayers to begin with and end the day with. I also would give thanks even just in my mind only saying out loud at home a blessing for food and thanking Father for it. Jesus did this stuff daily, I would try first just to get into a habit with something short. God knows your heart and hears your mind. My mom would thank the Lord and praise the Lord saying those 2 different things often out loud. I would do it too but did more saying it in my mind to Him. Do what is comfortable and believe me with time in following the Lord you see changes within yourself.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

NEW CHRISTIAN HELP - LETS START

NEW CHRISTIAN HELP - What next!

Praise The Lord for you! It is exciting when you hear the call and come to the Lord, He desires to be your God and walk with you and abide with you. As all new Christians, we desire to know the Lord and that of course is the Gospels where we follow Yeshua Jesus to know Him. Most know it comes with the Bible and prayer. I wanted to tell all how I was directed feeling it was an awesome way plus now being old would add some things. Quick start knowledge before we begin.

Almighty God knows all

God not only see's all but He can see your heart and read your mind! Now Satan wanting to stop your knowledge of the LORD, he can hear and see but is not able to read your heart and mind. Satan is able to drop a thought into your mind, but he is not able to read your mind. He would see if you had a response to it if you respond. I wish I had of known this when I started.

Prayer: Father I ask you open my ears to hear, eyes to see and heart to receive your word and I thank you for it.  Amen.  (say it in your mind if not out loud)

New Christian - Start reading the Gospels.

I would start by listening (reading) the first 4 chapters of Matthew. Matthew addresses the beginning with birth of Jesus to baptism, being tempted by the devil and starting to choose his disciples. Book of Matthew

Then start reading the Book of John. Why John? The book of John starts with the first miracle that Christ did plus gives you the tools of understanding about the Holy Spirit and hearing the words of Christ Jesus. In John 17 you get to see the prayer Jesus prayed for us, praying out to the future for us, including us that hear by his disciples which this book and Matthew are both his disciples prayed for within that prayer. This is the perfect place to start. Now I love to hear the word read to me so will online listen to the dramatized while reading along in scriptures. For the audio online book of John dramatized I used biblegateway. Book of John

Don't worry about doing that much, if all you want to read or listen to is just one chapter start there but get in a habbit of doing it every day. You might get hooked on listening and end up listening to more than you thought. Try to though at minimun to listen to 1 chapter a day, we all have a few minutes. Father God is your Father and just like any parent they want to see their child each day. You are a child of God's. When your done tell Father in your head what you thought of it, He knows anyway but it helps getting you in a habbit of talking to the Lord.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37 (KJV)
